Our New Home

Takeover Radio trained a group of young people to produce 12 podcasts to a very high standard and these were played out on Takeover Radio over the 12 month period. Some of the young people have continued their involvement with the station and some are now presenting their own shows. 

The young people increased in confidence over the 12 months of the project learning to speak out loud, interview, research and produce a final piece of work. Their ICT skills also improved from using specialist software used within the radio industry. Each student who completed the course received a Takeover Radio Bronze Certificate. 

The course has proved a great success with the young people gaining valuable experience which will stay with them for the rest of their lives, and the response from the listeners was very positive. The project also allowed us to get to know the wardens and workers on the park which we would not have been able to do without completing this project.
